Dave Matthews Band Tickets for most fall shows will go on sale today - Occtober 8. 2005. While tickets are usually a little easier to come by than for typical summer shows, there will still be a dogfight for the good seats. Make sure you are there on time. Tickets for most cities will go on the tour will go on sale through Ticketmaster.

Unlike most summer shows, there was no ticketmaster presale for the fall tour. That means a larger supply of good seats! Though most of them went to Warehouse fan club members, most people should expect a legitimate shot at deccent seats for a reasonable price.

Dave Matthews Band to play Red Rocks Amphitheatre again

The Dave Matthews Band will be returning to Colorado for three concerts on September 9th, 10th, and 11th, 2005 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO.

Tickets will be sold to Warehouse - the official DMB fan association - members starting Thursday. Tickets will go on sale to the public on Saturday, July 9th at 10:00 a.m. Mountain Time.

Red Rocks was the site of the recording of a CD showcasing what some DMB fans consider to be the band at its best.

The Dave Matthews Band 2005 Summer Tour starts in just 19 short days. As fans scramble to get last minute tickets for concerts in their neighborhood (and beyond) the band is gearing up to hit the road.

The Dave Matthews Band's 2005 version of what has become a perennial string of road dates will begin at the UMB Bank Pavilion in Maryland Heights, MO before heading up to Chicago's Tweeter Center (actually located in Tinley Park, Il) then for a string of east coast and midwest dates that will take the band through a July 30 and July 31 engagement on Randall's Island in New York.

The first leg of the Dave Matthews Band 2005 Summer Tour is packed with two night stands. Venues that will get two full nights of the Dave Matthews Band include Post Gazette Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgettstow, PA; Verizon Wireless Arena in Noblesville, In; Ctnow.com Meadows Music Centre in Hartford, CT; SPAC (Saratoga Performing Arts Center) in Saratoga Springs New York; Tweeter Center in Camden, NJ; Tweeter Center in Mansfiled, MA; Sound Advice Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, FL; and Alpine Valley in East Troy, WI.

The second leg of the Dave Matthews Band 2005 Summer Tour will be much shorter, but will feature a few special treat shows. This leg kicks of with two nights at San Francisco's SBC Park and includes four other California shows. There will also be three nights of Dave Matthews Band music at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Quincy, WA.

The only place DMB is not touring heavily is middle America, but who knows if more shows will be announced. Tickets for all cities have already gone on sale and new show announcements have not been made for weeks now, so it looks like the current line-up may be a solid one. If you are not going to see any of the shows on the Dave Matthews Band summer tour in 2005, this might be a good time to pick up a copy of the Dave Matthews Band shows at the Gorge that have been released on DVD. The shoot has a lot of behind the scense action, plus some cool features that allow you to choose who you watch on stage. While it is no substitute for seeing a Dave Matthews Band concert, it might have to do if distance keeps you away.

Good Dave Matthews Band Tickets are always some of the most difficult to come by. While it is always pretty easy to get a ticket for the Dave Matthews Band (thanks in part to the fact that they tour at least once every year), getting good seats is sometimes hard.

Often, the first opportunity to get good tickets for any band is through the fan club presale. As most Dave Matthews Band fans know, the Warehouse (their fan club) is known for kicking down some really good seats, including front row tickets. However, the problem with Warehouse tickets are two-fold.

First, the Warehouse releases presale tickets for every part of the venue and they don't tell you where you are sitting until you are basically stuck with those seating locations. That means that even if you are granted presale tickets in the reserved sections, you could find yourself way out in the wings staring at a speaker rack for the same price as the folks who are front and center staring at Dave Matthews.

Second, the Warehouse makes it difficult for you to get good seats even if you don't mind paying twice. Consider the following scenario: You get Dave Matthews Band tickets for the Gorge Amphitheatre through the Warehouse. They tell you are sitting in Section A Row 18. Row 18! Not bad - until you realize that your seats are so far off to the side that you would actually be closer to Dave if you were sitting in Section B row 35. "OK," you say, "I tried and don't like my seats, so I will just give these to someone else and buy my own tickets through the public on-sale on Ticketmaster.com."

That's an ideal situation and many fans wouldn't mind paying for their tickets twice if it meant getting good ones and still having extra tickets to give to other Dave Matthews Band fans. But unfotunately, it doesn't work that way with the Warehouse because they won't even tell you what your seating locations are until a week or two before the show (and sometimes not until the day of!). By that time, the prices on good tickets have gone up to their sky-high week-before-the-show prices and you are stuck with your tickets in the wings.

Now, you could get lucky and get front row center seats, but for the most part, ticketmaster will have more of the good seats than the fan club will, so, unless you are very lucky, you would probably get better seats out of the public on-sale.

It all comes down to what is most important for you vis-a-vis the Dave Matthews Band Concert in your town. If you just want to guarantee yourself any ticket, you can go to the Warehouse just to give yourself an extra shot at them. Or if you want to guarantee seats among the best in the house, you might try your hand at Ticketmaster or go to a trusted Dave Matthews Band Ticket Broker.
